The cone is upstream of the Lamar. Trust me on this, I'm a fisherperson and I've tramped up and down every inch of Soda Butte Creek between the cone and the confluence with the Lamar, and the cone is definitely UPSTREAM of the Lamar. As far as where the butte is, can't help you. If it ain't got fish, it doesn't get too much of my attention, (well OK, the wolves are cool too)
