are you looking at shooting print or slide film? Kodak is still making a nice emulsion for film shooting, they have in ISO 200 and 400, I have actually become fond of the 400 version, which is Kodak 400 Hi Definition film, nice smooth tone, very small grain, and pretty good in all light conditions, it is a good film for just about any situation that comes up.
If your wanting to shoot slides, I would go with Fuji Provia, or the Newer Fuji Velvia, but they are both lower speed films so with longer lenses and lower light, tripods are pretty much the norm.
