Grant Village, where you might still be able to get lodging because it's probably the least busy of the Xanterra (exclusive in-park concessionaire) properties, is the closest accommodation in Yellowstone to south entrance. Check Xanterra's Web site and call them if you don't see what you need online, because their phone inventory is a little different from their Web inventory. The Lake area properties (also Xanterra, of course) are not much deeper into the park, and there might be an open room or cabin there. Lake would be completely satisfactory for most anything you want to do (at least, anything that's readily accessible from the road) in the southeastern corner of the park.
As Dave mentioned, there are several places to stay in the Tetons. The concessionaires with properties towards the northern part of the Grand Tetons are the Grand Teton Lodge Company (www.gtlc.com/) and Signal Mountain Lodge (www.signalmtnlodge.com/). Colter Bay (administered by GTLC) is probably the closest to Yellowstone, though I would not really recommend commuting back and forth from CB into Yellowstone, you'd be spending too much time on the road and not enough time having fun.
Whatever you decide, make your reservations immediately, things fill up very early!
