Black bear cub at Elk Creek.

We visited Yellowstone from September 18 - 29 and had a blast. Wildlife was slower then last year. We saw less bears then last fall but still counted 28 bears. I wanted to see the grizzly with the 4 cubs so badly but we didn't have any luck. One of the highlights of our trip was watching the Great Gray Owl. We looked for the owl on 3 different mornings and found him every time. We also watched the Sloughs chasing a elk in Lamar Valley but after a very long chase the wolves gave up. It was exciting to watch though.
We met a bunch of nice folks from the Yellowstone forums which was great fun.
