I can't think of any truly upscale lodging very close to Yellowstone. Within Yellowstone, the most modern lodging would be Old Faithful Snow Lodge. It's by far the newest, opened within, I think, the last 7 or 8 years, and it has a quite good restaurant that serves liquor. I don't think it has a separate bar, but it might, that's something I probably would not have noticed if it did.
The rooms are large and have full baths, separate vanity area outside the bath and toilet room, etc.
The decor in the rooms is pleasant, the lobby is actually quite nice. Here's a photo of one of the lamps in the lobby.
