Well I returned Friday from a six day trip to the Grand Old Park. It was a fantastic trip. Sunday the 17th we hiked into the Heart Lake area and it is an incredibly beautiful place. As we arrived at the Factory Hill Over look, we could see a geyser erupting in the Fissue group and we could see the steam from Rustic Geyser erupting near the Lake. Quite a site if I may say so myself. We stayed at Heart until Tuesday and then hiked out. The rest of the time was spent leisurly enjoying the Park. We fished from a rental boat, hike the Elephant Back Trail, AWESOME!!! Did Uncle Toms and spent a fair amount of time in the Upper Geyser Basin that allowed us to see a Splendid eruption from a distance and a Daisy eruption up close. We were also able to see a beautiful Riverside Geyser eruption with rainbow and all. We didn't do a whole lot of animal watching but one morning we awoke to see one of the largest bull elk I have ever seen grazing not 40 yds from our camp. All I can say is that it is a GRAND OLD PARK!!!

BTW- Christmas is alive and well at Old Faithful. Including tree, lights, and all sorts of decorations. So along with Bobbi Jo, Merry Christmas to all!!!!!
