: We are planning a trip for 6/98 and don't know which cabins to stay at. Any opinions, pros and cons to each? Thanks!

Hello Julie, From a personal standpoint my wife and I prefer Lake Lodge cabins. We have stayed at both.
If you are looking for rustic, then Roosevelt is the place to stay.
We also are planning on being in the park the 2nd week of June. Depends when lake Lodge cabins will open. This year they did not open until June 12.
You can find a schedule of planned 97 openings is John's home page. He will be updating it when the schedule is out.
In the past we have been able to see deer, mule deer, elk, buffalo, and bear from our cabin at Lake Lodge.
Lake Lodge is less than an hour away from most attractions and wildlife viewing areas.
Check out www.amfac.com This is where you can make reservations, check prices, check availabilty, plus it informs you of ehat to expect at each property.
Well, I hope this helps. Enjoy the park, bring plenty of film.
Hope to see you in the park. Greg
