Yellowstone National Park News Release

YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK CONDUCTS TRAINING SESSION ON
TECHNICAL ASPECTS OF CATEGORY III CONCESSION CONTRACT

October 06, 2003 ~ PR 03-121

Yellowstone National Park Superintendent Suzanne Lewis announced today that park staff from the Business Management Office will be conducting two training sessions to explain the technical aspects of applying for a Category III Concession Contract. A Category III Concession Contract is a contract where no park facilities are assigned and all business dealings are conducted outside the park, such as guided saddle and pack stock tours. The first training session will be held on October 13, 2003, at 1:00 pm at the Antler Motel in Jackson, Wyoming; a second training session will be held at the Holiday Inn in Cody, Wyoming, on October 30, 2003, at 1:00 pm.

Prospectuses were recently published for a Category III Concession Contract to solicit proposals for guided saddle and pack stock tours in the park. This training will deal with a generic prospectus and will not answer questions specific to the guided saddle and pack stock tours prospectus because once a prospectus has been published, questions need to be addressed in writing so that all parties have access to the same information.

Everyone is welcome to attend either of these sessions. Training dates for sessions at Livingston and West Yellowstone will be announced at a future date.

For more information, please call Barb Riley in the Business Management Office at: 307-344-2276.
